Psychiatric Medication Management

At Family Living Institute, our psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners provide individualized psychiatric medication management for children and adults seeking support with their mental health.

We begin by listening—taking time to understand your symptoms, goals, health history, previous treatment experiences, and the concerns affecting your everyday life.

Medication may be one part of a personalized treatment plan. We work collaboratively with you to determine whether medication is appropriate, discuss expected benefits and possible side effects, and make thoughtful adjustments over time. Your care plan will reflect your needs, preferences, and progress.

Conditions We Commonly Treat

We offer medication management for a range of mental health concerns, including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Panic symptoms

  • ADHD

  • Bipolar disorder

  • Trauma-related symptoms

  • Sleep concerns

  • Obsessive-compulsive symptoms

  • Mood changes related to life transitions

What to Expect

Your first appointment includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and a discussion of your treatment goals. If medication is recommended, you will receive clear information about how it may help, what to expect, and how your response will be monitored.

Follow-up visits focus on medication effectiveness, side effects, appetite, mood, sleep, functioning, and overall well-being. Treatment is an ongoing partnership, and decisions are made together as your needs change.

Whole-Person, Coordinated Care

Mental health is closely connected to physical health, relationships, work, family, and life stressors. When appropriate and with your permission, Family Living Institute coordinates care with your primary care clinician, therapist, and other members of your care team. We also encourage therapy and healthy coping strategies as meaningful parts of comprehensive mental health care.

Our goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you work toward greater stability and well-being.
